TUM extends its hearty congratulations to the prize recipients: A total of 30 projects aiming to advance innovation in academic teaching have been selected for this year's sponsorship by the TUM Teaching Endowment Fund!
Established in recognition of projects that are forging new inroads in higher education, and backed by auxiliary funding from the TUM Board of Management on top of a €300,000 grant from the Quality Pact for Teaching (in conjunction with the TUM: Agenda Lehre project), the TUM Teaching Endowment Fund launched its first annual call for applications earlier this year.
As evidenced by the 69 submissions received, this inaugural competition met with keen interest. Chaired by the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, the 13-member award jury was faced with the challenge of singling out applications showing particular promise in terms of creative new teaching approaches and novel course formats. As part of the two-step selection process, all submissions underwent initial screening by a peer review panel.
