The next InfoForum Studium und Lehre at TUM takes place on 11 November 2020. We will meet virtually via Zoom meetings. Take the opportunity to inform yourself about current topics concerning studies and teaching at TUM and to meet with colleagues virtually.


Making full use of the creative potential of students to develop innovations for dynamic, future-oriented teaching – that is the goal of the TUM Future Learning Initiative (TFLI). Numerous students have developed ideas, worked out proposals in teams or individually and found creative solutions for improvements in studies and teaching. 13 contributions made it to the final. From September 21 to October 4, all TUM students and employees can now choose their favorites. Your vote counts!

University:Future Festival | Learning, Systems and the New Normal

Never before in the history of university teaching has the transfer of knowledge had to be changed as quickly and as comprehensively as in 2020. What does this mean for higher education beyond this year? What does the "new normal" look like? The Hochschulforum Digitalisierung is organising the University:Future Festival on this topic from 6-8 October 2020 - completely in digital space, of course.

This years' awardee for the Ars Legendi Prize for Excellence in University Teaching is Dr. Stephan Krusche, Chair for Applied Software Engineering (Prof. Bernd Brügge), TUM Department of Informatics. He will receive his award in an online lecture on July 23, 2020. Dr. Krusche is being honored for his overall commitment to teaching.

For the summer semester 2020, we have suspended the use of standard evaluation tools. Due to the extensive implementation of digital teaching formats, we will instead be conducting a targeted evaluation of online teaching.

With the extraordinary commitment and creativity of our teachers, staff and students, TUM has brought digital teaching to a new level in just a matter of weeks and kicked off the 2020 summer semester, now, almost entirely online. This year’s Ideas Competition aims to promote initiatives in study and teaching that further advance the use of digital formats for teaching, learning and examination at TUM.
